Got Whitewater?

If watching moving water is not enough for you, how about getting into it?  Whitewater rafting and kayaking are a mainstay of this county. Class lll-V rapids will satisfy any adrenaline junkie with plenty of trained river guides to get you through it safely.

InnSeasonResorts has partnered this season with Windfall Outdoor Center located right here in Jackman to offer adventure river rafting packages. Go online or call central reservations to book your trip ahead.

The first commerical trips on the Kennebec River were last month on April 15th. With snow banks still on  rivers edge and armed with wetsuits and hot chocolate, These brave rafters ran water that make the kind of stories you tell your grandchildren about. For the less adventurous, the river does warm up by Memorial Day. There is much less fear of becoming a human ice cube, but there is still plenty of water. Both the Dead (yes, the Dead) and the Kennebec Rivers are dammed controlled rivers with planned releases that guarantee maximum excitement.  There are trips for every level including children, non swimmers and the handicapped.
