May Visit to Mountainview
I was lucky enough to enjoy two days at Mountainview Resort a few weeks ago. The resort looked to be in great condition. The new 3 bedroom cabin was wonderful as was the work done to the indoor pool.
We did see three moose, one coyote, one fox, two deer and a gopher! We also traveled to Canada for dinner one night. It was an easy ride to St. Georges, approximately 40 minutes to the north. The scenery is different and the valleys open wide and green. We saw two of the largest lumber facilities I’ve ever seen on the way.
The restaurants in St. Georges all seem to be on 1st or 2nd street, down by the river. there is quite the assortment and so far all good. We ate at the Monde Cafe on 1st Street. It was very good. Be prepared to speak french, or at least listen to french as all the residents surely do. The border crossing was easy, too.

I had to write and tell about our stay at the Mountainview Resort in Jackman, ME. Me and my husband went to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. When we arrived it was a very pretty building and kept up really nice. The 1 bedroom suite that we stayed in was so clean!! I was really impressed. Also, the trails for ATV’s run right behind the resort so it was so convienent to do a 100 miles on the trails and then pull right up to the resort afterward. I will definately be back with my kids.
It was a wonderful vacation and the staff is so eager to help make your stay even better.
